The United Arab Emirates has confirmed that none of the seven organisations sanctioned by the United States are currently operating within its jurisdiction.
On 7 January 2025, the United States designated seven UAE-based entities under its Sudan-related sanctions framework. These entities are:
•Capital Tap Holding LLC
•Capital Tap Management Consultancies LLC
•Capital Tap General Trading LLC
•Creative Python LLC
•Al Zumoroud and Al Yaqoot Gold and Jewellers LLC
•Al Jil Al Qadem General Trading LLC
•Horizon Advanced Solutions General Trading LLC
Following the announcement of these sanctions, the UAE promptly launched its own investigation into the companies and associated individuals, requesting further details from US authorities to support its enquiries.
Regarding the US-Sudan sanctions, the Ministry of Justice has clarified that none of the named entities possess a valid commercial licence in the UAE or are conducting business activities in the country.
The relevant UAE authorities continue to observe for any suspicious conduct in line with the nation’s legal and regulatory framework.
