The UAE’s tax ecosystem continues to expand steadily, with approximately 710,000 entities now registered for Corporate Tax, around 573,000 enrolled for Value Added Tax (VAT), and close to 1,800 registered under the Excise Tax system.
These figures reflect the growing adoption of Corporate Tax across the business landscape, signalling strong compliance levels and the increasing integration of tax obligations into corporate operations throughout the country.
VAT registrations remain substantial, while the number of Excise Tax registrants and approved tax agents has also risen, underscoring broader participation and professional engagement within the UAE’s fiscal framework.
In addition, significant VAT refunds have been processed for newly constructed homes, amounting to millions of dollars during the recent reporting period, further supporting eligible individuals under the existing refund scheme.
Authorities continue to focus on enhancing digital services, streamlining procedures, and strengthening compliance mechanisms to ensure the tax system remains efficient, transparent, and aligned with the nation’s wider economic and digital transformation objectives.
