No non-halal chocolate Mars bars are available for purchase in the markets of Abu Dhabi and Dubai, as confirmed by authorities.
The Dubai Municipality, through a social media announcement, clarified that all Mars company products available in the markets adhere to technical regulations and approved legislation for halal products. They stated: “We also assure that stringent supervision is conducted throughout the supply chain to ensure compliance with specific standards.”
Previously, Abu Dhabi authorities affirmed that all imported food items undergo rigorous scrutiny at various entry points. No product is permitted entry into the country without confirmation of compliance with approved specifications.
Furthermore, food products undergo inspection and sampling at sales outlets to guarantee their safety for consumption.
The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA), in a social media update, reiterated their commitment to ensuring the safety of all circulating food products. They maintain rigorous controls across the supply chain, providing assurance of their dedication to consumer well-being.
ADAFSA’s actions are governed by technical regulations, systems, and legislation grounded in scientific principles and international standards. These regulations undergo regular review and updating to align with the latest advancements.
Recently, the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment of the UAE affirmed the safety of Perrier French water products available in the country’s markets.
Nestle stated that they have heightened monitoring procedures following warnings from French regulators regarding the quality of their bottled mineral water brands, including Perrier.
