The UAE government has endorsed a fresh national strategy designed to enhance entrepreneurial activity and draw over AED 1 billion (around $272 million) in investment for economic growth in rural communities across the Emirates.
Under the strategy, efforts will be made to grow small and medium‑sized enterprises, bolster tourism and stimulate more diverse economic activity in village and rural regions.
Government leaders emphasised that successful execution will depend on strong collaboration with private‑sector partners, with a focus on empowering Emiratis — especially the youth — to lead and drive local development.
