Beginning next Thursday, the UAE will roll out a countrywide, seven‑day programme commemorating its strong relationship with Kuwait.
The celebration, themed “The UAE and Kuwait: Brothers Forever,” will include over 40 cultural, social and entertainment activities staged at the same time throughout all seven emirates.
The week’s schedule is designed to highlight the profound historical, social and strategic connections that the two nations have developed through common values, familial ties and enduring collaboration.
Guided by the directives of UAE leadership, the festivities seek to turn the deep Emirati‑Kuwaiti bond into tangible, community‑focused events that involve both locals and guests.
A key highlight will be “Kuwaiti Nights in the UAE,” set for 29–30 January at the ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi and Burj Park in Dubai, showcasing live acts by well‑known performers from both nations.
In Abu Dhabi, a celebratory maritime parade will feature traditional dhow vessels cruising along the waterfront, symbolising the shared Gulf heritage of the UAE and Kuwait.
Across the UAE, major landmarks and signature buildings will be lit up in Kuwait’s flag colours, and airports will greet Kuwaiti travellers with special receptions and keepsakes.
The festivities go beyond the main attractions, with malls nationwide presenting themed happenings and drone displays, and cultural hubs such as the Sheikh Zayed Festival and Global Village offering specialised Emirati‑Kuwaiti programming.
Discussion and collaboration will be central to the week, with the Emirati‑Kuwaiti Media Forum slated for 29 January and the Emirati‑Kuwaiti Economic Forum on 2 February, uniting government officials, industry leaders and media experts.
In Fujairah, a special Kuwait Festival at Fujairah Fort will add a historic element to the week’s activities.
