The UAE-Africa Dialogue successfully concluded its agenda, with a focus on enhancing relations between sub-Saharan African nations and Gulf countries, particularly the UAE. The event was organized in collaboration between the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy and the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research, bringing together experts, scholars, diplomats, and policymakers to address key topics like climate change, food security, and sustainable development.
A highlight of the dialogue was a session attended by His Excellency Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State, and Her Excellency Robinah Nabbanja, Prime Minister of Uganda. The discussion centered around the UAE-Africa collaboration on climate change, the green transition, and initiatives to enhance food security across the continent.
In his remarks, Sheikh Shakhboot emphasized the importance of deepening cooperation between the UAE and Sub-Saharan African countries. He stressed that the UAE’s approach to Africa is rooted in mutual trust and respect, and that such dialogues help create effective communication channels to support sustainable development. He also highlighted that the UAE-Africa dialogue is an essential platform for exchanging knowledge and experiences, with a vision to build a sustainable future.
Prime Minister Nabbanja expressed her appreciation for the UAE’s hospitality and the dialogue’s success in strengthening sustainable partnerships between the two regions. She underscored the importance of continued cooperation, which will have long-lasting benefits for all involved.
