The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has reached a significant milestone in its humanitarian efforts for the Gaza Strip, delivering the 100th aid convoy as part of ‘Operation Chivalrous Knight 3’. Since the operation’s launch, over 20,000 tonnes of essential supplies have been transported through the Rafah Border Crossing to alleviate the suffering of Palestinians impacted by the ongoing crisis.
The UAE’s commitment to the people of Gaza is evident in the diverse range of aid provided. From life-saving medical supplies to essential food items and shelter materials, the convoys have addressed critical needs on the ground. “The health sector has been a priority, with more than 16 tonnes of medicines and medical equipment dispatched,” said a UAE official.
The operation has also seen the deployment of ambulances, water tanks, and sewage systems to bolster infrastructure and improve living conditions. Notably, four convoys were sent after the Rafah invasion, carrying crucial relief items like shelter tents and food parcels to support those displaced by the conflict.
Inspired by the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the UAE continues to lead the way in humanitarian assistance. By providing unwavering support to vulnerable populations, the nation exemplifies global compassion and solidarity.
