US and London-based edtech company DataCamp, which serves 18 million learners worldwide, has acquired UAE’s Optima, an AI-driven learning platform.
The deal forms part of DataCamp’s strategy to deliver personalised, real-time learning experiences and fully integrate Optima’s technology across its educational platforms.
The financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed. As part of the integration, Optima’s founder and CEO Yusuf Saber will assume the role of Chief AI Officer at DataCamp, while the remainder of Optima’s team will join the company under the agreement.
DataCamp, a prominent player in the edtech sector, anticipates surpassing $100 million in annualised recurring revenue by the close of 2026.
