Trescon has officially unveiled CARE – the Climate Action & Renewable Energy Expo, a high-impact global summit series launching in September 2025. Designed to drive climate action and sustainable innovation, CARE is set to convene over 10,000 attendees, 950 investors, 225 sponsors, and more than 200 global speakers. The series aims to generate real investment opportunities, forge partnerships, and create scalable impact across sectors such as clean energy, climate tech, and green finance.
The MENA region will host two key editions of CARE later this year: Dubai on November 26–27, and Riyadh on December 8–9. The official lead-up to these events began with the CARE Dialogues, held on June 24, 2025, in Dubai. The exclusive, invite-only session focused on “Green Finance and Beyond: Driving ESG Across Sectors.” Powered by Emtribe, the gathering brought together senior figures from policy, finance, and technology to explore how ESG can be embedded into core business models.
“As a partner of CARE, we’re proud to back a platform that focuses on what really matters — getting the right people in the room and driving honest, outcome-focused conversations,” said Mohammed Saleem, Founder of Emtribe. He continued, “There’s a lot of talk in this space. CARE stands out by pushing for action that’s practical, collaborative, and needed.”
This kickoff event set the tone for cross-sector collaboration, grounding the summit agenda in regional realities and tangible outcomes.
MENA Renewable Surge Signals Readiness for Large-Scale Action
Across the Middle East and North Africa, the urgency around clean energy is intensifying. According to Economy Middle East, the region’s installed solar capacity rose to 24 GWAC in 2024, reflecting a 25% annual increase. Projections suggest this figure could exceed 180 GW by 2030. Additionally, the Middle East Solar Industry Association estimates MENA will add 62 GW of new renewable capacity in just five years.
Countries like the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt are investing heavily in solar, wind, and green hydrogen. The shift isn’t limited to policy—it’s reshaping national energy strategies. Moreover, the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) forecasts that renewables reaching 30% of the power mix in MENA could create 1.2 million jobs by 2050. Clearly, the region is not just setting targets but laying the foundation for transformational energy change.
In response, CARE’s summit content will cover every layer of the sustainability ecosystem. This includes solar and wind power, green hydrogen, sustainable water, carbon markets, climate finance, and grid infrastructure. Featuring executive roundtables, keynote addresses, and a dedicated expo, the event is crafted to connect high-level stakeholders with actionable solutions.
Speaking about CARE, Naveen Bharadwaj, Group CEO of Trescon said, “CARE is built to do one thing well: move climate ambition into commercial reality. By bringing together stakeholders from policy, finance, and technology under one roof, it creates the right environment to surface big ideas, secure investment, and turn solutions into large-scale projects.”
Global Advisory and ClimateTech World Cup Add Strategic Edge
CARE’s credibility is further strengthened by the Global CARE Alliance, an advisory council composed of distinguished climate leaders. Among them are:
- Dr. Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi, former UAE Minister of Climate Change & Environment
- Amb. Dunston P, CEO at The Royal Office of HH Sheikh Ahmed Bin Faisal Al Qassimi / UNFCCC Governing Council Member
- Dr. Ioannis Spanos, Vice President – Sustainability, Expo City Dubai
- Maher Al Kaabi, UAEIIC Executive Committee Member & UAE Circular Economy Council Member
- Erik Solheim, Former Norwegian Minister of Environment & UNEP Under Secretary-General
- Julie Newman, Director of Sustainability, MIT (USA)
These experts help steer CARE toward practical, high-impact strategies that go beyond talk, anchoring the event in global leadership and policy relevance.
Each summit edition will also host the ClimateTech World Cup — a global competition spotlighting breakthrough innovations in areas such as renewable energy, carbon capture, sustainable water, climate adaptation, and circular economy models. Early-stage ventures will gain access to investors, exposure, and commercial partnerships through this platform.
As Gulf nations ramp up net-zero strategies and ramp investments into green infrastructure, CARE emerges as a vital link between ambition and execution. By aligning capital with climate technology and regional priorities, it seeks to accelerate solutions that can redefine the sustainable future of the Middle East and beyond.
