Transamerica Life Bermuda, a prominent life insurer serving high-net-worth clients, will soon launch operations at the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), according to an official release.
The Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) has approved a licence for Transamerica Life Bermuda, permitting the company to operate within the DIFC.
Salmaan Jaffery, Chief Business Development Officer at the DIFC Authority, noted that the centre’s forward-thinking legal and regulatory frameworks continue to attract top-tier industry players. DIFC is currently home to over 125 insurance-related entities.
With a heritage spanning 180 years through its Aegon and Transamerica affiliations, Transamerica Life Bermuda brings considerable expertise in large-sum insurance policies and complex client needs to the Middle Eastern market.
DIFC also hosts some of the world’s foremost insurance brokers, including five firms ranked highly by AM Best.
The centre achieved record-breaking growth in 2024, now accommodating 6,920 active firms and delivering strong financial results.
