ADNOC Gas, in collaboration with Baker Hughes, has successfully deployed a new technology that captures carbon from methane, the primary component of natural gas, and converts it into graphene. This breakthrough, developed by the British climate tech firm Levidian, has been implemented at ADNOC Gas’ Habshan Gas Processing Plant, marking the first use of the LOOP technology at an operational gas processing site.

ADNOC and Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar) have signed a Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA) with Microsoft, aiming to drive AI and low-carbon initiatives in the UAE and internationally. The focus is on decarbonising the current energy system and enabling a sustainable energy future.

NEOM has announced a partnership with Asas Al Mohileb to establish and operate a SR 700M ($186M) ready-mix concrete facility in Saudi Arabia. This multi-plant factory will primarily supply concrete for the construction of THE LINE, a linear city currently under development in NEOM.

Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, reported significant progress in the UAE’s clean energy sector, noting that clean energy now comprises 27.83 percent of the energy mix, aiming for 32 percent by 2030.
