Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has announced new police projects in the emirate worth Dh2 billion. The projects aim to enhance the safety, security, and stability of Dubai as it continues its rapid growth and development.
Sheikh Mohammed highlighted that as Dubai expands, so do the responsibilities of its police force. “Security, safety, and stability are the most valuable currency and the biggest guarantee that the blessed national development journey continues and prospers,” he stated on X.
The newly launched initiatives include the construction of a new Dubai Police Academy in the Al Ruwaya area, capable of accommodating 2,500 male and female students. Other key developments comprise a new centre for criminal data analysis, a specialised training centre in Hatta, a facility dedicated to the security of institutions and emergency services, and a state-of-the-art forensic medicine building.
The announcement came during Sheikh Mohammed’s visit to Dubai Police headquarters, where he was briefed on their ongoing development plans and commitment to maintaining the safety and security of the emirate.
