His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, reviewed the progress of the Sheikh Rashid Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Housing Project for Citizens in Wadi Al Amardi. The AED1.4 billion project includes 672 villas along with essential community facilities such as a mosque, a public park, endowment markets, and service amenities designed for Emirati families.
Strengthening Community and Family Well-being
H.H. Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, wife of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, oversees the project. Named in memory of Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the initiative aligns with the Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum Family Programme. This program aims to enhance family stability, reinforce social values, and improve quality of life.
Sheikh Mohammed emphasized Dubai’s commitment to high-quality housing and infrastructure. He stated, “Our goal is to provide every citizen with a modern, fully integrated living environment that ensures stability and well-being.” He highlighted the project’s role in fostering strong communities and supporting long-term development.
Modern Housing with Advanced Facilities
The project meets strict quality standards, offering modern homes tailored to Emirati families’ needs. Sheikh Mohammed described the development as a model of excellence, personally overseen by Sheikha Hind. He noted that such urban projects enhance family life, strengthen social connections, and support Dubai’s long-term vision.
During his visit, Sheikh Mohammed reviewed the master plan, developed by his engineering office. The plan includes green spaces, efficient road networks, and family-friendly recreational areas. The project features a mosque named after Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and endowment markets promoting economic sustainability. The homes are designed to maximize space, ensuring both comfort and functionality.
Phased Development and Future Vision
- Phase One: 124 homes, set for completion in 2026.
- Phase Two: 208 homes, expected in 2027.
- Phase Three: 199 homes, scheduled for 2029.
- Phase Four: 141 homes, to be completed in 2032.
This initiative aligns with the Dubai Social Agenda 33, which seeks to make Dubai the best city for living and housing services. It also supports the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan, focusing on sustainability, family well-being, and high-quality living standards.
By integrating green spaces, retail hubs, and recreational facilities, the project meets future housing needs while optimizing land use. Through such initiatives, Dubai continues to strengthen its position as a global leader in residential and community development.
