SeaWorld Abu Dhabi, the newest theme park on Yas Island, will open its doors to the public on May 23. Prior to the grand opening, His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, officially inaugurated the highly anticipated attraction.
Developed by Miral in partnership with SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment, SeaWorld Abu Dhabi covers an expansive area of 183,000 square meters. During his visit, Sheikh Khaled had the opportunity to explore the park’s facilities, which provide a captivating blend of entertainment and education centered around marine life. The opening of SeaWorld Abu Dhabi further solidifies Abu Dhabi’s position as a thriving tourism hub.
Additionally, His Highness Sheikh Khaled also visited the Yas SeaWorld Research and Rescue, the first integrated research, rescue, rehabilitation, return, and education center in the MENA region. He reviewed the center’s initiatives aimed at conserving the marine wildlife, habitats, and ecosystems of the Arabian Gulf, while also inspiring and educating the next generation of marine enthusiasts.
During his visit, His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan was accompanied by Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi and Chairman of Miral, along with Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi, Group CEO of Miral.
SeaWorld Abu Dhabi not only provides a wide range of entertainment, educational, and family-friendly experiences, such as interactive animal encounters and captivating animal presentations, but it also boasts a variety of rides, attractions, dining options, and shopping destinations.

This certification marks a significant milestone as SeaWorld Abu Dhabi becomes the first facility in the MENA region to achieve this recognition.
As part of Yas Island’s impressive collection of theme parks and attractions, SeaWorld Abu Dhabi joins the esteemed lineup, which includes Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Yas Waterworld, and CLYMB Abu Dhabi.
