H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, chaired a meeting of the Executive Committee of the ADNOC Board of Directors at the company’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi.
Reviewing Performance and Future Strategy
During the meeting, H.H. reviewed ADNOC’s recent performance and strategic priorities for the coming period. Discussions focused on driving domestic growth and advancing international expansion through its global arm, XRG. The committee also explored ADNOC’s plans to accelerate digital transformation by adopting advanced artificial intelligence (AI) technologies.
In addition, H.H. emphasized the company’s ongoing efforts to empower national talent and strengthen the capabilities of Emirati professionals across the energy value chain. These initiatives reflect ADNOC’s commitment to long-term competitiveness and innovation.
Highlighting ADIPEC’s Success and Global Impact
H.H. commended the success of ADIPEC 2025, hosted by ADNOC, calling it a major platform for collaboration and knowledge exchange in the global energy sector. The event generated AED168.8 billion (US$46 billion) through 35,000 cross-sector deals, attracting 239,000 attendees from 172 countries. This strong participation reaffirmed the UAE’s position as a global hub for energy, partnerships, and innovation.
At ADIPEC, ADNOC unveiled several strategic agreements to strengthen international growth through XRG and enhance value creation using AI-driven solutions.
Expanding Partnerships and Innovation
Among the key announcements, TA’ZIZ awarded a contract to establish the UAE’s first integrated single-site polyvinyl chloride (PVC) production complex. Meanwhile, XRG signed a framework agreement with Argentina’s YPF and Italy’s Eni to explore participation in an integrated liquefied natural gas (LNG) project in Argentina.
H.H. praised ADNOC for its achievements and urged continued competitiveness in a rapidly evolving global energy landscape.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and ADNOC Managing Director and Group CEO; Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure; Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of Health and Prevention; Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Managing Director and Group CEO of Mubadala Investment Company; and Jassem Mohamed Bu Ataba Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Finance.
