H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum launched the Dubai AI Academy, a major initiative to embed AI education and accelerate its integration across critical sectors of Dubai’s economy.
The launch occurred during the inaugural Dubai AI Week 2025, organised by the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence and held across several locations, including the Museum of the Future and AREA 2071.
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan stated that Dubai aims to be the preferred hub for AI leadership, supporting initiatives that demonstrate AI’s potential to drive economic growth and societal advancement.
The Dubai AI Academy, part of the Dubai AI Campus at DIFC Innovation Hub, seeks to educate 10,000 future leaders through advanced AI training and certification programmes with DIFC Academy’s support.
The Academy will partner with esteemed global institutions, including Oxford’s Saïd Business School, Udacity, and Minerva Project, offering customised courses to develop leadership in an AI-driven global landscape.
Initial courses will include ‘AI for Civil Service’, aimed at government employees, and ‘Leadership in the Age of AI’, covering strategic thinking, ethics, and adaptability in a technology-led environment.
By scaling AI education, the Academy supports Dubai’s goal to double AI’s contribution to GDP, providing training in business integration, use case identification, and ethical AI application frameworks.
This initiative aligns with the Dubai Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence (DUB.AI), furthering Dubai’s ambition to be a global hub for AI, innovation, and advanced technological development.
The Academy also advances DIFC’s 2030 Strategy by strengthening talent development in Dubai’s growing AI, FinTech, and innovation sectors, enhancing workforce productivity and accelerating AI integration across industries.
