With the UAE fast emerging as a hub for higher education, the region’s most popular higher education event is gearing up to host some of the most sought-after educational institutions from the country as well as across the world for four days at Expo Centre Sharjah starting October 18, 2023.
The 19th International Education Show, which will run until October 21, 2023, will be offering academic and career-oriented programs ranging from undergraduate to graduate and doctoral levels besides a vast choice of modern disciplines such as space engineering, artificial intelligence, internet of things, medical and applied sciences, among others. It will feature nearly 150 exhibitors, representing some of the leading educational institutions.
“The UAE considers education as a game changer in its quest for growth. Our leaders have time and again stressed that education remains a key priority for the country and it will continue to invest in our people to harness innovation. The International Education Show not only helps the student community to pursue higher education in the UAE and elsewhere but also reinforces the higher education sector in the country and the wider region,” said H.E. Saif Mohamed Al Midfa, CEO, Expo Centre Sharjah, ahead of the event.
Expanding Educational Opportunities at the Expo Centre
Apart from helping students and parents to interact with representatives of leading institutions, and discuss the merits of programs, eligibility criteria, scholarships, and part-time and post-study work opportunities, Expo Centre Sharjah has been joining forces with leading institutions in the industry to enhance its offerings to the students. As part of this strategy, the Expo Centre has tied up with Microtec Educational Services, a pioneer in education consulting and event organizing in India, and the collaboration has resulted in the launch of India’s renowned Career Journey Exhibition on the sidelines of the 19th International Education Show 2023.
The Career Journey Exhibition will help the Expo Centre to leverage the expertise of its organizers to offer specialized sessions, seminars and workshops apart from showcasing top universities, colleges, other educational institutions and boarding schools in India as well as other countries.
Visitors can also take advantage of the “virtual tour” service provided by some of the participants, offering students and parents a close look at the institutions, their infrastructure, facilities and services virtually. Other onsite activities include aptitude tests, career counselling sessions, special sessions for teachers and parents, quiz programmes and other competitions.
The participants will include representatives of colleges, universities, polytechnics, business schools, technical institutes, management training centres, medical schools, tertiary institutions, distance learning institutes, career guidance centres and immigration consultants
For its past edition, the event hosted more than 130 exhibitors at 8,000 sq m, representing study destinations in 25 countries, and attracted more than 35,000 visitors, including 155 public and private schools from the Northern Emirates and Dubai.
