In a bid to accommodate all newly registered children in Sharjah nurseries, the Ruler of the emirate has announced plans to build new nurseries and expand current capacities.
Capacity Expansion
Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, stated that 446 additional nursery seats would be provided during July and August. Currently, government nurseries in Sharjah have 1,335 seats available for 1,781 registered applicants. The new seats will address this shortfall over the next two months.
The announcement was made via the “Direct Line” program broadcast on Sharjah Radio and Television.
Emphasis on Safety and Education
The Sharjah Ruler emphasized the dual importance of nurseries for both safety and education. “The child in Sharjah nurseries learns from the beginning of his enrollment a very sophisticated curriculum, which we did not create alone; rather, partners from Europe work with us,” he explained.
Sheikh Dr. Sultan reassured parents: “Do not be afraid, your child will get a seat.”
