An Emiri decree issued by Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has mandated the establishment of the Sharjah Hospitality Group. The new independent government entity, affiliated with the Sharjah Family and Community Council, will be tasked with formulating public policies for hospitality services across the emirate.
Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi will serve as Chairperson of the institution. Under the Decree, the Chairperson will determine the appointment of qualified individuals to assist in managing the Group and overseeing its affiliated entities.
Officially named the ‘Sharjah Hospitality Group’ in English, the organisation will be headquartered in Sharjah. The Chairperson will have the authority to establish additional branches or offices in other cities and regions within the emirate.
The Group’s responsibilities will include drafting public policies for hospitality services, setting strategic plans and operational standards for its activities, and supervising affiliated entities. It will also manage and operate its facilities in line with the highest professional standards.
In addition, the Group will design and execute programmes, initiatives, and projects related to hospitality and wellbeing. It will manage contracting processes and foster partnerships with both public and private sector organisations within Sharjah and beyond. Performance will be monitored through regular evaluations, ensuring service quality via structured oversight and continuous improvement measures.
As outlined in the Decree, the Group will oversee and manage the Sharjah Ladies Club and its branches, as well as Al Jawaher Reception and Convention Centre. The Chairperson may also incorporate other hospitality, wellbeing, or service-related projects, facilities, or entities into the Group through official decisions.
