The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) held a strategic meeting with the Consulate General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Dubai and the Northern Emirates to explore deeper economic cooperation and strengthen trade and investment relations between the two nations.
The discussions focused on building robust partnerships between business communities and private sector entities to capitalise on high-potential investment opportunities across diverse industries.
Bilateral Dialogue to Boost Economic Cooperation
The meeting took place during the official visit of Almaz Tasbolat, Consul General of Kazakhstan in Dubai, to the SCCI headquarters. He was welcomed by Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber. Also in attendance were Abdul Aziz Al Shamsi, Assistant Director-General for Communication and Business Sector at SCCI, and Dr. Fatima Khalifa Al Muqarrab, Director of International Relations Department, alongside other senior officials.
During the dialogue, both sides examined ongoing cooperation between Sharjah and Kazakhstan, with emphasis on strategies to enhance economic relations. Key initiatives discussed included facilitating trade delegation exchanges and organising sector-focused exhibitions and events to connect companies with new market opportunities.
Investment Opportunities in Key Sectors
The talks underscored the importance of improving access to investment prospects in both countries. Sectors identified for potential collaboration included real estate, infrastructure, and services—areas where both sides see strategic alignment and strong growth potential.
H.E. Abdallah Sultan Al Owais reaffirmed the Chamber’s commitment to fostering bilateral trade and investment ties. He highlighted Sharjah’s supportive regulatory framework, advanced infrastructure, and strategic location as critical factors that make it an attractive destination for international investors.
He also invited Kazakh enterprises to explore Sharjah’s diverse economic landscape, assuring them of the Chamber’s ongoing support and high-quality services aimed at ensuring their success in the emirate.
