SAUDIA, the national airline of Saudi Arabia, has recently added Birmingham, UK as its 21st European destination, marking a significant expansion of its network. The launch of direct flights between Jeddah and Birmingham is a result of the collaboration between SAUDIA and the Air Connectivity Program (ACP), which aims to enhance air connectivity and develop new air routes to support tourism growth in the Kingdom.
A commemorative ceremony took place at the Alfursan Lounge at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, marking the departure of the inaugural flight, SV 0251. SAUDIA’s team celebrated the milestone with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a cake-cutting ceremony in the departure hall.
