An accounts and finance-based event was held on the 5th and 6th of August, 2022. The fest was organized by the Accounts and Finance circle of Podar.
Finacc witnessed a footfall and participation of over 200 students from different colleges based in Mumbai. A total of 7 events were curated by the organizing committee which included 1 pre-event Moneyball, 1 Prevent Fundaz Apna Apna and 5 main events – Quiz-o-accounts, Esploro Presentado, Etude de Cas, Business Analyst and Crypto decrypto spread across 2 days along with fun and engaging public relation activities for the audience and supporting students from other colleges.
The Inauguration ceremony witnessed the presence of CA Mr. Nilesh Vikamsey (Past ICAI President) and CA Mr. Kushal Lodha ( AIR 5 in CA Finals and AWR 3 ACCA) along with the Principal of RAPCCE Dr. Shobana Vasudevan. The Flagship event Quiz o accounts stimulated the young minds of the participants to think and respond to the questions instantaneously and influence their thought process.
The aim of the finance committee is to inculcate the love of accounting and finance in the bidding minds of the students and thereby introduce them to the different aspects of accounting and finance in a lively and fun-loving way. Along with this, the team caught sight of a huge amount of resources like paper and plastic being used for offline events which lead to wastage, keeping that in mind the team took the initiative to inculcate sustainability as a factor alongside the motto of the department.
The team insisted on the use of a digital approach for administrative forms, creative material and other situations wherever possible. The Event was powered by IMS and partnered by Hoodzilla, Packman Bespoke, Trek Safarnama, Pulchara Soaps, and Aesthetic Frames by Khushi, Media Partner Finance World Magazine. The valediction ceremony beheld a successful event completion with the announcement of the 5 podium winners along with individual event winners.
The overall event winners trophy was awarded to Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics, 1st runner-up was awarded to Hassaram Rijhumal College of Commerce and Economics along with the BEST Public Relations trophy, and the 2nd runner-up was awarded to L. S. Raheja College of Arts & Commerce along with Best Contingent Leader Trophy. The event organized by Accounts and Finance Circle of Podar came true to its vision of inculcating the love for finance among college students.
