Ras Al Khaimah has announced plans for Wynn Boulevard, a new road and infrastructure project designed to link the UAE’s first gaming resort with the wider Emirates.
The boulevard was revealed during the launch of Marjan Beach, the latest master development from state-backed real estate firm Marjan. Officials confirmed that more than AED1 billion (USD 272 million) has already been allocated to the construction of the road.
“There will be a Wynn Boulevard. This connects to the resort through the beach district [Marjan Beach], to the 311 to the 611, to Dubai and the other emirates,” said Graham Hallett, Marjan’s Chief Development Officer. “We have just signed contracts worth over AED1 billion and that is happening now.”
The E311 and E611 highways provide the main road links between Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and the Northern Emirates, including Ras Al Khaimah.
A spokesperson for Wynn Al Marjan Island told AGBI: “We are pleased with the progress of the new infrastructure projects which will add another connection from Al Marjan Island to Dubai.”
According to Marjan, Marjan Beach will cover 85 million square feet and will feature 22,000 residential units, 12,000 hotel rooms, and eventually accommodate a population of 74,000.
