Ras Al Khaimah Digital Assets Oasis (RAK DAO) has undergone a transformation, rebranding as Innovation City (INC) to signal the start of a dynamic new era for the Emirate and the wider region.
The project is designed to establish a central hub for technology and innovation enterprises, uniting entrepreneurs, creators, and visionaries to shape the industries of tomorrow.
At its core, Innovation City will prioritise five strategic pillars: Web3 & Digital Assets, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Gaming & iGaming, Robotics, and Healthtech & Digital Health. The initiative seeks to foster a thriving ecosystem where technology firms and innovators can collaborate and scale.
“Ras Al Khaimah has long been a land of ambition and opportunity. With the creation of Innovation City, we are setting the stage for a new economic era—driven by technology, entrepreneurship, and global innovation leadership. This is about more than attracting businesses; it is about shaping industries and establishing Ras Al Khaimah as a global capital of innovation for decades to come,” stated Sheikh Mohammed bin Humaid Al Qasimi, Chairman of Innovation City.
Operating as the world’s first AI-powered free zone, Innovation City will integrate artificial intelligence into its regulatory frameworks, services, and support mechanisms.
The use of AI will streamline business processes, accelerate company growth, and enhance the appeal of the hub to global enterprises.
As part of the initiative, Ras Al Khaimah will dedicate land for infrastructure tailored to technology enterprises, further positioning the Emirate as a hub and testing ground for innovation.
