Saudi Arabia is set to open the largest water theme park in the Middle East next year, boasting 28 rides and attractions.
The Qiddiya Investment Company (QIC) has revealed the debut of Aquarabia, Saudi Arabia’s inaugural water theme park and the biggest in the region.
Situated within Qiddiya City, Aquarabia will enhance the city’s offerings alongside Six Flags Qiddiya City, the premier theme park of its kind developed outside North America.
Aquarabia will showcase 22 rides and family-friendly aquatic experiences, featuring four world records such as the tallest water coaster and the longest mat racer.
The park will introduce the first underwater adventure ride with fully submersible vehicles and cater to adrenaline enthusiasts with extreme watersports activities including rafting and kayaking.
Incorporating immersive design elements, Aquarabia’s theme revolves around ancient desert wellsprings and Qiddiya’s wildlife seeking an oasis.
Complementing the theme park, Six Flags Qiddiya City will boast 28 rides and attractions, including five world record-breaking coasters.
Both parks, located within Qiddiya City, will offer a range of activities, dining options, and accommodation in a walkable neighbourhood.
Managed by the Qiddiya Investment Company, the parks aim to diversify the entertainment sector, boost tourism, and create job opportunities in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030.
Scheduled for completion in 2025, Aquarabia and Six Flags Qiddiya City will be the first attractions to open within Qiddiya City, meeting the rising demand for immersive entertainment experiences and water-based activities.
With a focus on sustainability, both parks will implement innovative technologies and designs to minimise water waste and energy consumption, contributing to the Kingdom’s economic diversification goals.
The unveiling of Aquarabia adds to the array of entertainment, sports, and cultural attractions in Qiddiya City, reflecting its commitment to becoming a sustainable and diverse leisure destination.
