PureHealth, the Abu Dhabi-based healthcare group and the largest integrated healthcare platform in the Middle East, has signed a 25-year master lease agreement with renewable energy company Yellow Door Energy to roll out on-site solar power systems across its network of hospitals and clinics in the UAE.
Under the long-term arrangement, Yellow Door Energy will finance, install and manage the solar infrastructure, enabling PureHealth to transition to clean electricity without upfront capital investment. The initiative is expected to generate approximately 23.5 million kilowatt-hours of renewable energy annually, reducing carbon emissions by around 7,200 tonnes each year.
Yellow Door Energy will oversee the full lifecycle of the project, including design, construction, commissioning, operations and maintenance of the solar plants. The agreement marks a significant step in embedding sustainability within critical healthcare infrastructure.
The partnership aligns with PureHealth’s ambition to achieve net-zero emissions by 2040 and supports the UAE’s broader commitment to reaching carbon neutrality by 2050, underscoring the growing integration of renewable energy solutions across essential service sectors.
