Scheduled to open the scientific conference this month is none other than one of the UAE’s leading voices on precision medicine, Dr. Asma Ibrahim Al Mannaei. She is the Executive Director of the Research and Innovation Centre at the DoH Abu Dhabi.
Meanwhile, Jimi Olaghere will be making his MENA debut, as he is a CRISPR recipient. He will be sharing personal experience of living with sickle cell disease for 35 years. He aims to advocate for increased accessibility of gene therapies for SCD patients. After decades of battling the condition’s incredibly difficult symptoms, Olaghere’s life transformed essentially overnight. Undoubtedly, it was possible through a ground-breaking clinical trial that involved “editing” his genes to free him from SCD.
Leading Experts Share Insights on Precision Medicine at PMES UAE 2024
Many other distinguished speakers set to present at PrecisionMed Exhibition & Summit UAE 2024 will be speaking at the event.
