In observance of Islamic New Year, Ajman’s vehicle inspection and registration center will be closed on Sunday, July 7. The announcement was made by Ajman Transport on Friday.
Closure and Resumption Details
The Speed Vehicle Inspection and Registration Centre in Ajman will not be operating on July 7 and will resume its regular schedule on Monday, July 8. The centre’s typical hours of operation are as follows:
- Sunday to Thursday: 7:30 am to 9:00 pm
- Friday Morning: 7:30 am to 12:00 pm
- Friday Evening (Vehicle Inspection Service Only): 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm
- Saturday (Vehicle Inspection Service Only): 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Official Holiday Announcement
The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (Mohre) previously declared July 7 as an official paid holiday for the private sector in observance of Islamic New Year. The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources also stated that Muharram 1 on the Islamic calendar would be a holiday for government employees.
Employees across the country will benefit from a one-day paid holiday in celebration of Islamic New Year.
