His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, assessed the progress of a housing project for Emiratis in Al Khawaneej 2 during a site visit. During the tour, Sheikh Mohammed instructed the expedited completion of allocation and handover procedures for the residential units, ensuring compliance with regulations. He reaffirmed that providing high-quality housing remains a key priority in Dubai’s development agenda.
His directives form part of wider efforts to accelerate urban and infrastructure projects that enhance citizens’ welfare and support Dubai’s sustainable growth. His Excellency Omar Hamad Abdullah Hamad Bu Shehab, CEO of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment, briefed Sheikh Mohammed on the Al Khawaneej Villas complex, which comprises 1,050 residences, including single, twin, and townhouse villas for eligible housing loan recipients. As a model neighbourhood, the project underscores Dubai’s focus on community wellbeing.
Sheikh Mohammed also reviewed the project’s emphasis on green spaces and pedestrian-friendly design, reducing reliance on vehicles. Sustainable construction practices aligned with global standards were highlighted, alongside landscaping, public amenities, and service facilities catering to residents’ needs.
