Mawani, GACA, and ZATCA in Saudi Arabia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to improve the connection between air and sea logistics. The agreement aims to facilitate the smooth transportation of goods throughout the Kingdom, ensuring a seamless flow of trade.
Awad AlSulami, the EVP for Economic Policies and Logistics Services at GACA, signed the agreement at the GACA headquarters in Riyadh. Abdullah Al-Funtukh, the Vice Governor for Trade Facilitation and Customer Experience Sector at ZATCA, and Abdullah AlMunif, the Vice President for Commercial Business at Mawani.
The tripartite agreement seeks to enhance Saudi Arabia’s logistics and customs services, promoting foreign trade and economic development, according to Saudi Press Agency.
The agreement focuses on integrating freight operations at air and sea terminals to enhance logistics. It includes conducting simulations to address challenges in cargo transportation and leveraging Saudi Arabia’s strategic geographical position for optimal trade benefits.
