Majid Al Futtaim has announced a AED 5B transformation of Mall of the Emirates, marking its 20th anniversary with an ambitious five-year redevelopment that aims to redefine the mall experience in Dubai. The plan promises to turn the destination into a next-generation lifestyle hub, blending luxury retail, wellness, culture, and entertainment.
The project will add 20,000 square metres of retail space and bring in over 100 new stores across fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and luxury categories. The revamped mall will also feature the Seven Wellness Club, a high-end retreat designed for modern wellness seekers.
Majid Al Futtaim will introduce New Covent Garden, a first-of-its-kind cultural district centred around a 600-seat theatre. VOX Cinemas will debut what it calls the world’s most advanced IMAX experience, along with four new entertainment concepts to enhance the mall’s appeal as a leisure destination.
A new indoor-outdoor dining precinct will elevate the culinary offering, while a significant expansion of the luxury precinct will introduce enhanced VIC services for premium shoppers.
The transformation also includes key infrastructure upgrades, delivered in partnership with Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority. These improvements will enhance access roads and bridges, ensuring smoother connectivity for the growing number of visitors.
“This is not just an upgrade—it’s a reinvention built around experience, culture, and connection,” said Majid Al Futtaim. “We’re not following trends—we’re setting them.”
With this bold reinvention, Mall of the Emirates is not just evolving—it’s setting a new standard for retail and lifestyle destinations in the region.
