H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance, and Chairman of the Dubai Judicial Council, has approved Dubai Courts’ 2025-2029 strategic plan.
The plan seeks to enhance Dubai’s judicial system through innovation, reinforcing its global standing. Sheikh Maktoum stated that the strategy aligns with H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s vision of positioning Dubai as a leader in efficient and advanced justice, further elevating its global appeal. He emphasised the plan’s focus on modernising judicial processes to meet evolving global demands, ensuring swift, fair legal resolutions.
Sheikh Maktoum commended the efforts behind the plan, highlighting the significance of continuous improvements through AI and advanced technologies. He noted that these initiatives will enhance litigation efficiency, strengthen alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, and establish Dubai as a global hub for judicial solutions.
The plan envisions a judicial system that ensures swift justice through integration, innovation, and transparency. It prioritises the rule of law and public trust, supported by 3 strategic impact indicators, 27 performance metrics, and 42 projects.
Key objectives include enhancing judicial performance, optimising legal services, building future-ready institutions, and leveraging digital solutions. This involves refining case management, advancing dispute resolution, attracting specialised talent, and integrating AI to improve efficiency.
Prof. Saif Ghanem Al Suwaidi, Director-General of Dubai Courts, stressed the urgency of adapting to global legislative and technological shifts. He underscored the institution’s commitment to AI-driven innovations and legislative advancements to enhance judicial performance.
He added that judicial development is a continuous effort, aimed at providing high-quality, swift services. This strategy cements Dubai’s role as a global model in judicial excellence, ensuring a modern, efficient legal system that upholds fairness and societal stability.
