Majid Al Futtaim has announced an exciting collaboration with Parkin, the UAE’s leading provider of innovative parking solutions, to introduce barrierless parking at three of its most popular shopping malls: Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Deira, and City Centre Mirdif. The new system, set to launch in January 2025, is designed to streamline the parking process and improve the overall customer experience for millions of visitors.
With this state-of-the-art system, more than 20 million cars annually will benefit from a quicker and more efficient entry and exit at these premier malls. The introduction of barrierless parking signifies a key milestone in Majid Al Futtaim’s continuous drive to deliver exceptional convenience and innovation to its visitors.
How Barrierless Parking Works
Under the new system, cars entering Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Deira, and City Centre Mirdif will no longer need to stop at parking barriers to retrieve tickets. Instead, advanced cameras will automatically recognize the vehicle’s license plate, allowing seamless entry and exit. This new technology eliminates common bottlenecks, drastically reducing congestion and waiting times, especially during peak hours.
If parking fees apply, the driver will receive an SMS alert with a payment link, allowing them to settle the charges instantly via a web-based platform. Customers will also have the option to link their accounts with Parkin’s wallet, providing even more convenience.
