NEOM’s Board of Directors, overseeing sustainable regional development in northwest Saudi Arabia, has unveiled Leyja, its latest tourism destination within NEOM.
This area seamlessly combines natural beauty and historical significance, extending from the shores of the Gulf of Aqaba to mountains shaped by centuries of natural forces.
In line with Saudi Vision 2030 and NEOM’s commitment to developing a diverse and sustainable tourism industry, Leyja is designed to preserve 95% of its land for nature, incorporating innovative ecological techniques to harmonize with the environment.
Leyja comprises three distinct hotels meticulously crafted by renowned architects. The first hotel caters to adventure enthusiasts, with a design that seamlessly integrates with the rugged terrain, providing an ideal setting for rock climbing and high-octane experiences.
The second property, situated at the heart of the valley, serves as a gateway for exploration and discovery. It offers awe-inspiring views of the valley and is surrounded by a lush oasis.
The third property represents a wellness retreat that harmonizes with the natural surroundings. It features a high-tech, reflective façade, allowing the wadi to pass through the property, providing an interactive experience, according to Arabian Business.
Leyja promises a range of refined experiences, including fine dining, wellness facilities, rooftop infinity-style pools, guided wadi walks, and captivating hiking trails set against dramatic mountain landscapes. Adventure enthusiasts can also indulge in mountain biking and climbing.
Leyja joins NEOM’s portfolio of flagship regions, which includes Sindalah, THE LINE, Trojena, and Oxagon, reflecting the Kingdom’s dedication to innovative and sustainable development.
This latest addition underscores NEOM’s vision of creating a thriving and eco-conscious tourism destination that showcases the natural beauty and cultural significance of Saudi Arabia’s northwest region.
