Lenovo has confirmed plans to open its Regional Headquarters (RHQ) in Al Majdoul Tower, Riyadh, alongside appointing a new executive leadership team for Saudi operations. The move strengthens Lenovo’s long-term commitment to Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, supporting digital transformation, industrial diversification, and sustainable economic growth.
The RHQ will centralise Lenovo’s R&D, retail, marketing, partnerships, and customer engagement, positioning the tech giant at the heart of Riyadh’s rapidly growing innovation ecosystem. Al Majdoul Tower is already home to several Public Investment Fund (PIF) entities, ministries, and tech companies, placing Lenovo at a strategic hub for the Kingdom’s transformation agenda.
Saudi Manufacturing Facility to Produce “Saudi Made” Devices
In collaboration with ALAT, a PIF-owned company, Lenovo broke ground in February 2025 on a 200,000sqm advanced manufacturing facility in the Riyadh Integrated Zone, operated by the Special Integrated Logistics Zone (SILZ). The facility is expected to be operational by 2026, producing millions of devices locally.
Matt Dobrodziej, Senior VP and President of Lenovo EMEA, commented:
“Through our partnership with ALAT and investment in advanced manufacturing, we are proud to contribute to Vision 2030 by supporting industrial diversification, accelerating digital transformation, and enabling sustainable economic growth.”
Combined, the RHQ and manufacturing facility are projected to add up to $10 billion to Saudi Arabia’s non-oil GDP by 2030.
New Leadership Team for Lenovo Saudi Arabia
To drive this expansion, Lenovo has appointed:
- Lawrence Yu, Head of Regional Headquarters – 15-year Lenovo veteran who secured the ALAT partnership.
- Giovanni Di Filippo, VP & General Manager, Lenovo Saudi Arabia – previously expanded Lenovo’s EMEA ISG market share from 6% to 14%.
- Zoran Radumilo, Chief Technology Officer – 25-year enterprise technology leader with expertise in AI, cloud, and software.
The RHQ will anchor flagship retail stores, VIP customer centres, and innovation hubs, while strengthening relationships with government and enterprise clients in priority sectors including energy, telecom, finance, and smart cities.
Lenovo’s combined initiatives in Riyadh position the company as a long-term partner in Saudi Arabia’s digital and industrial transformation, signalling both economic impact and sustained investment in local manufacturing and innovation.
