According to the head of the Kuwaiti airline, Jazeera Airways would seek funding from commercial banks in the amount of $2 billion to cover 70% of a contract it has with Airbus for 28 A320neo aeroplanes.
The funding will be used by the airline to forward its fleet upgrade plan, as part of which Jazeera Airways wants to increase its present capacity with an additional 20 Airbus A320neo and eight A321neo aircraft. The aircraft are anticipated to assist the airline’s network expansion in the Middle East, Asia, and Europe.
