The Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) of the Department of Municipalities and Transport in Abu Dhabi has collaborated with Arabia Taxi Transportation to introduce Tesla electric vehicles to its eco-friendly taxi fleet.
The move aligns with ITC’s goal to establish a sustainable, clean, and integrated transportation system in Abu Dhabi, in line with sustainable development objectives. ITC’s Director-General, Abdullah Al Marzouqi, highlighted the initiative’s contribution to energy efficiency, carbon emissions reduction, and customer satisfaction, making Abu Dhabi a unique sustainable and environmentally friendly transportation example.
Arabia Taxi Transportation’s Managing Director, H.E. Sheikh Sultan Majid Hamad Al Qasimi, stated that adding Tesla electric vehicles to the company’s fleet is aligned with Abu Dhabi’s goal of implementing sustainable transportation solutions. This move is expected to lower carbon emissions, fuel consumption, and periodic maintenance costs of the vehicles.
The unveiling of Tesla cars coincides with the launch of the Integrated Transport Centre, a series of interactive events, workshops, and activities taking place across various locations in Abu Dhabi, including schools, public spaces, and universities, between March 8th and 17th.
