Italian President Sergio Mattarella will begin a state visit to the UAE on Tuesday, where he is scheduled to hold discussions with President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Both nations are expected to review multiple areas of bilateral cooperation, with a particular focus on economic collaboration and development initiatives under their strategic partnership framework.
His Highness had earlier unveiled plans to invest $40 billion in Italy, alongside the signing of more than 40 agreements during an official visit to Rome in February 2025.
During that visit, the UAE President met with the Italian President and Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and took part in the High-Level UAE–Italy Business Forum.
He also conferred the ‘Order of Zayed’ on President Mattarella, the UAE’s highest civilian honour awarded to world leaders and heads of state.
