India’s Commerce and Textiles Minister, Piyush Goyal, has revealed plans to establish a showcase for Indian goods in the UAE, featuring a goods showroom and warehouses.
The project, named ‘Bharat Park,’ aims to enable global nations to purchase Indian products, resembling China’s Dragon Mart concept, providing a unified platform for Indian exporters.
‘Bharat Park’ is anticipated to encompass retail showrooms, warehouses, offices, and additional facilities, catering to various goods, from perishables to heavy machinery, and is projected to be operational by 2025.
This initiative aligns with India’s strategy to enhance bilateral trade with the UAE, building on the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) signed as the first of its kind between India and the UAE, according to Arabian Business.
