The first-ever Interiors & Furniture Show (IFS) Jeddah has officially opened at the Jeddah Superdome. Running from February 18 to 20, 2025, the event provides a major platform for design professionals, manufacturers, and investors to showcase products, explore business opportunities, and build international networks.

Dr. Sumayah Al-Solaiman, CEO of the Architecture and Design Commission (ADC), inaugurated the event. She highlighted Saudi Arabia’s commitment to supporting architects and designers in shaping the nation’s future.
Supporting the Growth of Saudi Arabia’s Creative Sector
Speaking at the event, Dr. Al-Solaiman emphasized the rapid development of the country’s creative industries. She explained that the ADC aims to empower designers and architects to create environments that reflect Saudi Arabia’s future vision.
“Our mission is to build a thriving and sustainable sector that enhances quality of life and supports economic diversification,” she said. “Through strategic partnerships and leading exhibitions like IFS Jeddah, we create opportunities for designers to showcase their creativity on both local and global stages.”
The event also features a dedicated space for young designers and students. Industry leaders will share insights on emerging trends, helping the next generation of professionals gain valuable knowledge.
Building a Strong Personal Brand in the Design Industry
Dr. Karima Hemida, Head of the Design Department at Jeddah International College, addressed young designers on the importance of personal branding. She stressed that success requires a mix of creativity, industry knowledge, and networking.
“Everyone is a brand. It’s essential to define your vision, set long-term goals, and stay updated on industry trends,” she explained. “While AI-powered tools can help, designers must continue learning and exploring beyond social media.”
She also highlighted the benefits of attending industry events like IFS Jeddah, which provide networking opportunities and access to the latest market developments.
Saudi Manufacturers Showcase Future-Focused Products
Several Saudi companies are using the IFS platform to present their innovative products. Foamco, a leading furniture and sponge manufacturer, aims to expand its market reach at the event.
“We are committed to excellence and innovation,” said Majdi Sugati, Executive Assistant at Foamco. “Since 2016, we have served high-profile clients, including government agencies and the Ministry of Health. Our dedication to quality has earned us ISO 9001 certification.”
Damons, a Saudi-based furniture factory, is also leveraging IFS Jeddah to strengthen local partnerships. “The Middle East, especially Saudi Arabia, is a major focus for us,” said company spokesperson Jessy Jian. “With Vision 2030 driving growth, demand for high-quality office furniture is rising.”
