The UAE has secured defence and security deals worth over AED19.95bn ($5.4bn) during key military exhibitions this week.
The Tawazun Council announced these agreements at IDEX and NAVDEX 2025, highlighting its role in managing procurement and contracts for the Ministry of Defence. A total of 28 deals were signed with both local and international companies.
The announcement was made by Tawazun Council spokespersons Majed Ahmed Al Jaberi, Mohammed Saif Al Zaabi, and Mahra Bilal Al Dhaheri. The exhibitions, held under the patronage of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, are organised by ADNEC Group in collaboration with the Ministry of Defence and Tawazun Council.
On the third day, Mahra Bilal Al Dhaheri confirmed seven UAE-based contracts worth AED9.66bn ($2.6bn). Among them, EDGE Group secured a AED1.92bn ($523m) deal for naval technical support and another AED4.36bn ($1.2bn) contract for MKs bombs (Phase 2). A separate AED121.3m ($33m) agreement was signed with Trust for CBRN protective suites.
Additional contracts included a AED227m ($62m) deal for anti-jamming systems and a AED288m ($78.4m) agreement for TRACKED RCV unmanned ground vehicles. International Golden Group was awarded AED382m ($104m) for an E-LORAN system, while CLS Automotive Technologies secured AED2.36bn ($642.5m) for IFV Wahsh armoured vehicles.
Tawazun Council also announced three international deals worth AED523m ($142.4m). France’s Eurotradia International signed a AED24m ($6.5m) contract for Leclerc tank spare parts, while Naval Group secured AED472m ($128.5m) for corvette logistics support. Lockheed Martin was awarded AED26.77m ($7.3m) for technical services.
Majed Ahmed Al Jaberi reaffirmed the Council’s commitment to strengthening the UAE’s defence sector, positioning the nation as a global leader in advanced military technologies.
