Abu Dhabi’s Hub71 has expanded its global tech ecosystem with the addition of 27 startups to Cohort 16. These startups span across various sectors, including health, sustainability, and digital assets, reinforcing Hub71’s position as a leading launchpad for transformative ideas. This new addition brings the total number of ventures supported by Hub71 to 357, showcasing the growing global confidence in Abu Dhabi’s role as an entrepreneurial hub.
Diverse Startups Across Key Sectors
Cohort 16 was selected from over 1,300 applicants, with 63% of the chosen startups headquartered in leading tech markets like the USA, UK, and Germany. These startups collectively raised more than $145 million (AED 532 million) in funding, with each securing an average of $4.9 million (AED 18 million). One-third of the cohort’s startups are based in the UAE, highlighting the nation’s growing reputation on the global stage.
Notable additions to Hub71’s Access program include Vivan Therapeutics, a UK-based company pioneering cancer research using AI, Theion, a German startup focusing on sustainable energy storage with sulfur-based batteries, and Redbrick, a South Korean cloud-based 3D creation engine integrating AI and blockchain. UAE-based startups like Qashio, a spend management platform, and Switch Foods, a foodtech company offering plant-based meats, are also part of this cohort.

By joining Hub71’s Access and Hub71+ programs, startups gain access to a robust network of mentors, investors, and resources, enabling them to scale and drive impactful growth. This initiative not only supports innovation across key sectors but also accelerates Abu Dhabi’s vision to become a world leader in technology and entrepreneurship.
