The Federal Tax Authority (FTA) has revealed that its corporate tax awareness initiatives experienced notable growth in 2024, with 15,713 participants benefiting from its events.
This figure includes attendees of both in-person sessions across all emirates and virtual sessions organised by the Authority, representing an 8.7% increase from the 14,455 participants recorded in 2023.
Throughout 2024, the FTA launched several specialised awareness programmes designed to educate businesses on corporate tax, including relevant regulations and obligations for eligible taxable entities.
As the number of corporate tax registrants continues to rise, the Authority has stepped up its efforts to address businesses’ knowledge needs, fostering voluntary compliance with the UAE’s Corporate Tax Law, which came into effect in 2023.
In response to this demand, the number of FTA-hosted corporate tax awareness events increased significantly in 2024, reaching 70 events, compared to 49 in 2023—an annual growth of 42.9%.
The FTA’s latest announcement also highlighted an increase in participant satisfaction, with 96% of attendees expressing approval of the content and value of the awareness events in 2024, up from 94% in 2023.
