If you’re riding the Dubai Metro today, don’t miss out on some free ice cream!
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is offering complimentary ice cream cones at two Metro stations on July 10 and July 11. The available flavors include chocolate, cookies and cream, butterscotch, cotton candy, and vanilla, as revealed in a teaser video shared by the RTA on Tuesday.
Locations and Timings
- Mashreq and Ibn Battuta Metro Stations: 11am to 1pm on July 10
- Equiti and Onpassive Metro Stations: 11am to 1pm on July 11
This sweet treat giveaway is part of an initiative to help residents beat the summer heat, with temperatures soaring to 50.8 degrees Celsius on Tuesday.
Additional Refreshments for Workers
Free ice cream has been trending across the Emirates, especially for workers and delivery riders. Volunteers have been distributing popsicles and cold drinks daily from ice cream trucks to help them stay cool.
