The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) has pledged AED 1M to support the Fathers’ Endowment campaign. The initiative was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai.
The campaign, introduced during Ramadan, aims to create an endowment fund for sustainable healthcare. It focuses on helping the poor and underprivileged. The initiative promotes values of respect for parents, compassion, and solidarity. It also highlights the crucial role of fathers in the UAE in building supportive family environments.
By offering healthcare to underserved communities worldwide, the campaign aims to uphold dignity. It also seeks to strengthen the UAE’s role in regional and international humanitarian efforts.
Under the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI), the campaign promotes generosity, giving, and global humanitarian solidarity. It also supports the concept of charitable endowments.
Ahmed Darwish Al-Muhairi, Director-General of IACAD, said the contribution shows the Department’s commitment to supporting humanitarian efforts. “Fathers are the foundations of families and society. They play a key role in nurturing future generations and instilling noble values,” he said.
Al-Muhairi added that the initiative shows loyalty to those who have passed away and prayers for those still living. The Fathers’ Endowment campaign continues to receive donations from institutions and individuals through six channels. These include its website (Fathersfund.ae) and a toll-free number (800 4999).
