Global African Hydrogen Summit

Held under the distinguished patronage and hosted by the esteemed Government of Namibia, endorsed by the Ministry of Mines & Energy of Namibia, and in collaborative partnership with the Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board (NIPDB), dmg events, and Vasco Da Gama Energy, it is with great pride that we announce the inaugural edition of the Global African Hydrogen Summit (GAH2S), set to be hosted in Windhoek, Namibia from 3rd to 5th September 2024.

Themed “From Ambition to Action: Fuelling Africa’s Green Industrial Revolution,” this dynamic three-day Summit represents a pivotal moment in Africa’s energy landscape. It will bring together a distinguished assembly of heads of state, government agencies, industry business leaders, project developers, investors, thought leaders, and technologists from across Africa and around the globe. The primary objective is to catalyze critical investments and financing into bankable green energy projects of strategic and national importance across the African continent.

The Global African Hydrogen Summit serves as a premier platform for dialogue, collaboration, and action, focusing on advancing the development and deployment of hydrogen and other green energy solutions. It aims to harness the continent’s vast renewable energy resources to drive sustainable economic growth, foster energy security, and mitigate the impacts of climate change.

Participants can expect an enriching agenda featuring high-level keynote speeches, panel discussions, interactive workshops, and networking opportunities. The Summit will highlight innovative technologies, best practices, and success stories in the field of green energy, with a particular emphasis on hydrogen as a key enabler of Africa’s energy transition.
