The housing grant exchange service available on the “Emirati” platform within the “Dubai Now” app has facilitated the exchange of 1,463 land grants for UAE citizens since its launch until October 25th of this year.
This digital service is a collaborative effort involving the Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment, Dubai Municipality, and the Dubai Land Department, according to WAM.

Launched by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum in 2023
It was inaugurated on July 18, 2023, by His Highness H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, and Chairman of Dubai’s Higher Committee for Development and Citizens Affairs.
The platform successfully processed 68 requests for housing grant exchanges, benefiting 136 families. It allocated these grants to 23 different areas in Dubai, including Al Yalayis, Al Awir First, Hind City Third and Fourth, Nad Hessa, Wadi Al Amardi, Mushrif, and Al Warqaa Third and Fourth.
Citizens interested in this service can choose a grant, express their interest to the grant holder, and electronically sign an exchange agreement through the “Emirati” platform within the “Dubai Now” application. The typical processing time for this procedure is five working days.
A customer satisfaction survey indicated that 90 percent of users are content with the service. They specifically designed the housing grant exchange service to regulate grant exchanges, ensure legal compliance, and safeguard the rights of all involved parties.
