Emirates has inaugurated a cutting-edge facility in Dubai designed to deliver a premium training experience for nearly 25,000 cabin crew, with a focus on mastering the art of exceptional hospitality.
Valued at $8 million, the expansive training complex includes a restaurant and lounge accommodating up to 170 guests, sophisticated presentation kitchens, and eight technology-driven classrooms. By the end of the year, over 10,000 Emirates cabin crew members are expected to complete their training at the new centre.
The Emirates Centre of Hospitality Excellence offers a series of advanced service training programmes inspired by Michelin-star standards, encompassing fine dining techniques, refined guest interactions, and superior table service etiquette.
In 2020, Emirates partnered with the prestigious École hôtelière de Lausanne in Switzerland, one of the world’s foremost hospitality management institutions, to develop an enhanced hospitality framework—an initiative that achieved remarkable success.
Today, the Emirates Centre of Hospitality Excellence represents the culmination of that vision, encouraging cabin crew to embody Emirates’ four core hospitality principles in flight: excellence, attentiveness, innovation, and passion.
Thomas Ney, Emirates’ DSVP of Service Delivery, stated: “Emirates continues to elevate the ‘fly better’ promise for our valued customers. We have invested in world-class hospitality training for our cabin crew, enabling them to truly connect with passengers and create memorable signature moments. Through immersive learning, our crew can experience the cuisine, beverages, and ambience firsthand—this is how we cultivate world-class service.”
Setting new benchmarks in hospitality, the Emirates Centre of Hospitality Excellence provides diverse training opportunities for both new recruits and seasoned crew members. The facility ensures ongoing professional development through refresher and upgrade courses conducted throughout their careers.
