For its upcoming fleet of Airbus A350 aircraft, which is due for delivery in 2024, Emirates has chosen the latest Thales AVANT Up system.
The airline’s 50-strong A350 aircraft will be fitted with cutting-edge inflight entertainment systems that provide a remarkable cinematic and individualised passenger experience worth an investment of over US $350 million.
Adel al Redha, Emirates’ Chief Operating Officer, said, “Emirates has always regarded inflight entertainment as an essential aspect of our onboard experience, and we were, in fact, the first airline to put personal screens onto every single seat onboard when that was far from the norm over 30 years ago. Today, Emirates ice remains unmatched in inflight entertainment content and experience, having won best-in-the-sky awards consecutively for the past 14 years. Our investment in next-generation Thales systems for our new A350 fleet will further our lead, enabling us to deliver even better experiences to our customers. Watch this space.”
According to Yannick Assoud, executive vice-president of Thales Avionics, “Thales is honoured to support Emirates in their endeavour to Fly Better. Emirates is provided with the most recent consumer technologies and capabilities through Thales’ AVANT Up. Emirates clients may anticipate the extraordinary thanks to the company’s award-winning dynamic power, 4K QLED HDR displays, and next-generation digital services.”
