Emirates NBD has informed its customers that, beginning 1 September 2025, international money transfers made via its DirectRemit service will incur a fee of AED 26.25 per transaction.
Previously, the DirectRemit service by Emirates NBD enabled instant and fee-free transfers to banks in countries including India, the Philippines, Pakistan, Egypt, Sri Lanka, and the United Kingdom, provided the amount was at least AED 100.
This recent change signifies a shift from the bank’s earlier policy, under which remittances to its ‘popular remittance corridors’ were offered free of charge. The newly introduced fee will now be applicable to all international transfers conducted through the bank’s mobile app (ENBD X) and its online banking platform.
